That Darn Paci!!!

The time has come for us to take away Alex's paci. We have been experiencing a lot of nursing issues, tummy issues, and sleeping issues, and feel it might be steming from him having a pacifier. It is a challenging road in our house right now because of it, but we are hoping things resolve really soon. Alex has already taken 3 very good naps in his portacrib since Friday. Up to this point, that has never happened. We hope as he learns to sleep without something falling out of his mouth, he will rest better. Also, the sucking to soothe himself just makes his tummy a mess. If things do not get better soon, we will be discussing other possibilities with his pedi at his 4 month check-up. Hopefully it will not have to come to that. Every one of our other children have had to be subjected to the GI and we were hoping to spare Alex from that. I do not want him to be miserable though. For now, we are just using lots of destraction factors and just trying to make it through our days ahead of crying until he finds a better way to self soothe.
