Christmas was very special this year. We had our precious blessing to celebrate it with, Alex! We were very fortunate to have him be very good for us. No broken ornaments. No pulled over tree. No early unwrapped presents. (We have actually been very fortunate because all of our kids have been very well behaved at Christmas time and not destructive or overly curious.) The only thing Alex has really shown a "no-no" interest in has been the fireplace. He likes to open the screens and see how far he can put his hands in before someone tells him no.
Alex is such a joy! It takes such little effort to make him smile or laugh.
His favorite "trick" now is to smack a kiss.
Christmas eve we spent a Grandma & Grandpa's house.
We ate a huge dinner, sang songs, played games, and enjoyed each other's company. Alex loved all the excitement.
Bright and early Christmas morning, the kids woke up to try and find our Baby Jesus.

Guess who found him?!?!
All the kids were so excited for Alex and had to help him put Jesus in the manger.
Our tradition is that if you find Baby Jesus, you get to open the first present.
Everyone was eager to help Alex to do so.
Alex caught on to how the opening present thing worked very quickly.
His favorite present, however...
...Didn't last very long...
...Because it became quite the choking hazard!
It was a Wonderful Christmas.
And in the end...
...Alex crashed hard!
